Engagement formats

Four formats to fit the situation.

Strategic Advisory

For situations where the executive committee is stuck on a structuring topic, or when a strategic direction needs to be tested before commitment. The engagement takes the form of a regular presence — one to two days per week during the active phase, complemented by attendance at executive committee meetings — over a duration flexed in days/months.

Deliverables. Framing note, written recommendations report, support in landing the decision.

Interim Management

When an executive role is vacant — unexpected departure, ongoing recruitment — or when a deep transformation requires a temporary handover of leadership. Damien takes the role effectively (CEO, COO, or BU GM) over 4 to 18 months, full-time or with strong presence depending on scope.

Deliverables. The deliverable is not a report but decisions taken and initiatives completed during the transition, with a structured handover to a successor recruited in parallel.

Flash Assignment

For specific topics requiring fast expertise without long-term engagement. Audit, due diligence, turnaround plan, structuring of a new function, support of an urgent decision. Runs from two to six weeks, directly, occasionally complemented by an ad hoc partner depending on topic.

Deliverables. Synthetic report, actionable plan, recommendations in the format the decision requires.

Sparring Partner

For the leader looking for a senior counterpart — to challenge decisions, to talk through topics without hierarchy. Annual engagement, one to two sessions per month, video or in person depending on agendas.

Deliverables. No formal deliverable. The value sits in the quality of the exchange and continuity over time.

Choosing the right format

Which format for which situation?

The right format depends on the topic, not on a catalogue. During the first conversation we frame together — often a format combines two modes (e.g. flash assignment for framing, then interim on the identified scope). The final engagement is formalised after this first discussion.
